Studio Policy 2009

1. A fixed lesson time is arranged with each student, which has to be strictly adhered to.

2. Lessons are one hour per week for all afternoon lessons.

3. Fortnightly or irregular lesson times can be arranged for mornings or weekends.

Lesson Schedule for 2009

	1^st Term	14 January to 27 March
	2^nd Term	15 April to 26 June
	3^rd Term	20 July to 23 September
	4^th Term	05 October to 27 November

4. Fees are R2,000 per term for afternoon lessons and R200 per hour for all other times. Term fees are to be paid on the dates indicated below. Please note that these dates are to be strictly adhered to for administrative reasons.

An additional admin fee of R50.00 must please accompany all payments received after the dates indicated below.

	1^st Term	Before or on 20 January 2008
	2^nd Term	Before or on 21 April 2008
	3^rd Term	Before or on 24 July 2008
	4^th Term	Before or on 9 October 2008

5. Students coming to lessons at irregular times must pay per lesson.

Please note that I do not make up missed lessons. You are, however, welcome to swop with another student if you can't make your regular lesson time. For this purpose you should request a copy of my teaching schedule.

7. When lesson fees are paid via the Internet, a copy the payment statement must reach me before or on the payment dates as indicated above.

8. Should you wish to contact me telephonically, please do so between 09:00 and 18:00 during weekdays and weekends. PLEASE DON NOT USE SMS's FOR ANY LESSON ARRANGEMENTS - it is much easier and more secure to phone.

9. For flute services and repairs students are referred to Michael Botha (Mobile phone 083 225 9366).

10. Students have to purchase all sheet music they need for their flute lessons. Playing from photocopies will not be allowed. There are a number of music shops in and around Pretoria where you can purchase sheet music: Lovemore Music (012) 665 2029, Musica (012) 991 4930, EduMusic (012) 346 2733 and Notation Music (012) 653 0479. You can also purchase sheet music online from www.sawoodwind.co.za. They don't charge postage and they claim that any book you order will be delivered within 1 to 2 weeks.

11. Studio Concerts will be held during the year. These are not compulsory, but I highly recommend that you participate in them because they are great fun and will contribute to your progress as a flute player.

12. All students who wish to participate in Studio Concerts will have to pay a performance fee (the amount will be announced before each concert) before they will be considered for inclusion in the Concerts.

An admin fee of R20.00 will be charge if I have to order music for students.
